About

       Rina Schiller is an ambitious and talented software engineer and activist passionate about building technology for social change. She is currently a Masters of Engineering Candidate in Computer Science at Cornell University. Rina mentors for Open Classrooms, teaching and supporting students just learning how to code. She also is a Wogrammer fellow where she writes about successful and inspiring women in STEM.

 

       She previously worked as a software engineer at JPMorgan Chase for two years and interned at AOL, The Seelig Group, and the Financial Women's Association where she developed Android apps, Google Home actions, and web applications. She is skilled in Java, Python, Javascript, web development, and back-end services.

       Rina graduated as Valedictorian for the Class of 2017 from CUNY (City University of New York) Hunter College in the Macaulay Honors program. She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Emerging Media and minors in Computer Science and Women and Gender Studies.
